Czech Boxer Ducár to Make Debut in KSW MMA Tournament in Liberec

The Czech boxer, who has long been among the best sixty boxers in the world in the cruiserweight category, under a contract in the new organization will go into action for the first time on February 17, when KSW will present itself in Liberec for the second time in its history. In addition, Ducár is returning to MMA, in which he last fought in 2019.

“I received the offer a year ago, and I have been in contact with them since then. They even offered me last year’s huge Colloseum 2 tournament, where there were 50 thousand fans. It was crossed then, but I still thought I wasn’t ready for it. But when I saw it, I thought I might like it. (laughter) With the way they are now fighting on the Czech scene, where I was invited to a tournament in Třinec, I thought, why not. Better to regret that I did something than if I did nothing,” he explains to Sport.cz.

Therefore, a new challenge awaits him now, which will definitely be among the most difficult. A lot of entertainment will be prepared for him at the Polish KSW. But he is not going to forget boxing. “We discussed various options, but I said that I would primarily stay with boxing and I would always set aside dates for which I would prepare. Overall, communication with them is pleasant. They are able to tolerate a lot of things for me,” says the native of Znojmo.

“The difference is also with regard to the fact that I have to train on the ground as well. The last time I drove it was about five years ago. I find that a little bit of it is left there, the body remembers something. Now we’ll just revive it,” smiles the Czech boxer, who is still waiting for the name of his opponent for the tournament in Liberec.

He promises a lot since his return to MMA. “I enjoy the large audience stage, halls and experiences. For me, this is another new challenge, such a diversification of my career. So that when I’m old I don’t wonder if I should have tried. I didn’t want to miss such an opportunity,” recounts Ducár with enthusiasm.

The elite Czech boxer will thus complement the already abundant number of Czech representatives in KSW. Leo Brichta, who will fight for the interim lightweight title, or novices Matúš Juráček and Dominik Humburger will not miss the gala evening in Liberec.
