Czech Athletes Impress at Opening Round of Elimination Races

The twenty best went directly to the contact matches, then the 32 participants of the opening round were joined by representatives of states that had not yet been represented. Krejčí did the best, taking sixth place. Přindiš qualified from the eleventh position. Among the women, the tenth Hilgertová and the fourteenth Fišerová secured the promotion. Ondřej Tunka, Veronika Vojtová and Tereza Kneblová dropped out. Lukáš Rohan did not enter the qualification.
