Cystic fibrosis, when exercise is medicine

The Spanish Federation of Cystic fibrosis (FEFQ), member of We are patients, dedicates the month of May of his campaign ‘12 information pills’Al physical exercise, alerting that only a 2% of children with the disease it fulfills the recommendations minimum physical activity.

As the Federation recalls, “the practice of regular physical activity and aerobic training are very important because they are predictors of survival. That is, if the person with cystic fibrosis is trained, they will live longer and with better quality of life. Better aerobic power is associated with a lower number of hospital admissions due to pulmonary exacerbation
