WASKEMEER – A cyclist was seriously injured on Friday evening after colliding with a car. The accident happened on the Compagnonsweg (N917) between Waskemeer and Haulerwijk.
Emergency services were called to the accident at around 7:30 p.m. The road has been closed in both directions for emergency assistance. The cyclist was taken to hospital by ambulance.
Police traffic specialists are investigating the cause.
