A cyclist was injured at around 6.30pm on Friday evening after falling onto the road surface from the open Prinsenbrug in Haarlem. The victim was taken to hospital with undisclosed injuries, a police spokesman said.
Several people witnessed the incident. Victim support is available for them. The cause of the crash is still under investigation at this time. Pending this investigation, the Prinsenbrug is therefore closed to traffic until further notice.
Police are still looking for witnesses who saw the crash. They are requested to contact the police.
