BURGUM – A cyclist was slightly injured in a collision in Burgum on Friday. The man was cycling on the GW Navislaan in the village around 2 p.m. when things went wrong. He was hit by a motorist and ended up in the bushes with his bicycle.
The cyclist was able to retract his leg just in time and thus managed to prevent worse. The man eventually ended up on the other side of the hedge. Paramedics examined the man, but transport to hospital was not necessary.
The accident is believed to have been caused by a motorist pulling out of a driveway. Something went wrong, after which the cyclist was hit.
