Wednesday August 23, at 7.30 a.m., a cyclist fell following contact with a bus from the Stan network in Nancy (Meurthe-et-Moselle). The accident took place at the bottom of theLiberation Avenuebehind the Faculty of Letters, with a bus line C2.
After having lodged a complaint the same day at the Vandoeuvre-lès-Nancy police station, he shared the video of his fall on Twitter, which sparked many reactions.

Contacted by Lorraine News, Dorian, a 25-year-old doctoral student, explains the circumstances of the accident “I was following the bus and a few minutes before, we overtook and redoubled several times. Just before the accident, the bus cut priority me and another cyclist.
Indeed, on the images upstream of the accident provided by Dorian, we see that the bus crosses the bike path and forces the two cyclists to dismount: “The bus stops, we go around it and the driver yells at me,” he says. About ten meters further on, the bus overtook him again and hit him while falling back: “ He must have seen me. I don’t think he wanted to touch me, but to scare me by doubling me“, says the cyclist.

Like many two-wheelers, Dorian got into the habit of filming his journeys following a misadventure: “One day, I found myself sandwiched between a car parked on the cycle path and a car coming in front. I tapped the rear view mirror of the parked vehicle and it followed me for two miles”.

Concerning driverKéolis specifies that it was ” received by his line manager and that he “didn’t have no intention of hitting the cyclist “: “During their training, our drivers are made aware of the presence of pedestrians, cyclists and even scooters.
