Two fatal accidents occurred on Monday in Spandau. On Tuesday, the police published the information stand for the second fatal accident.
The police had already announced on Monday evening that a cyclist had been hit by a van in the morning and died as a result of the accident.
On Tuesday lunchtime, a police spokesman then reported how the second fatal accident occurred.
A 59-year-old turned right into Klosterstrasse in her Nissan on Monday around 1:50 p.m. from Seegefelder Strasse. She collided with a cyclist who was on the way in the Old Town Square in the direction of Klosterstrasse.
“As a result, the elderly woman suffered severe internal injuries and died at the scene of the accident despite the resuscitation measures being taken. At the scene of the accident there was considerable traffic disruption for a long time due to the extensive accident record, ”said the spokesman. The age of the fatally injured was initially not communicated.
The woman is the 38th fatal road accident victim in Berlin this year.
