The cyclist became Thursday afternoon by a car on the Huisdijk, near the intersection with the Hoge Enkweg. In the serious accident, the man ended up on the front of the car, while his bicycle ended up in the adjacent ditch.

It is not yet clear to the police whether the man in his seventies was already cycling on the Huisdijk before the accident or whether he wanted to cross the road. That is why the police are looking for the driver of a car who just drove to this spot before the accident (in the direction of the Stadsweg) and who saw the cyclist and the car involved.
