BREST. The fan, who caused a mass crash of the cycling peloton at this year’s Tour de France, faces a four-month suspended sentence. He was nominated by a prosecutor at a court in Brest on Thursday.
The 31-year-old woman will hear the court’s final verdict on December 9, the dpa agency reported.
The woman was sued by the Professional Cycling Association (CPA), and the Tour organizers did not take legal action against her.
“I’m ashamed. I’m a quiet person. Everything that happened is the exact opposite of who I am,” a woman whose name was not disclosed in court to protect her identity said in court.
