A special kind of charity event will take place in the auditorium of the Bad Ischl tourism schools on November 14th and 15th: Under the motto “Cycling with heart”, fourteen teams will cycle on home trainers for 24 hours to cover kilometers for a charitable cause to collect. This sporting challenge takes place in cooperation with the “proLife Fitness & Health Club” and makes it possible to combine sporting fitness and helpfulness.
The event starts on November 14th at 12pm and ends on November 15th at the same time. During these 24 hours the teams will “cycle through”. Every kilometer cycled is converted into monetary donations, which are distributed to, among others, “Licht ins Dunkel” and those in need in the Salzkammergut. Guests who want to cheer on their team or “just” donate are of course very welcome.
Head of department Günter Gaderbauer was inspired by last year’s Ö3 Christmas miracle in Bad Ischl to do good again this year and brought this event to life with the active support of the teachers and students. Dir. Mag. Wolfgang Falkensteiner explains: “With this event, we not only want to raise awareness of the importance of exercise and health, but also promote solidarity in our society. Everyone who wants to make their contribution is welcome. No matter whether you cycle or donate – every kilometer driven and every cent counts.”
Your physical well-being and entertainment will definitely be taken care of: there will be a colorful supporting program with music, food and lots of surprises, including a raffle.
