The desire of this project is to build a conditional bridge between the generations of theater, for which the interconnection has been lost due to the rapid passage of time. Most of the old masters no longer work in theaters, but some of the young performers know nothing about them. “Taste of Theater” gives these generations the opportunity to meet, talk, learn, get inspired, exchange ideas about the common love of theater and worldview. But for the rest of us, these conversations give us an opportunity to try to feel what the taste of theater really is, because talking to different generations of theater sheds light on things that are not asked at all in the interviews.
In this conversation, actress of Daile Theater Ausma Kantāne met with Gerda Laposhka, a student of the New Riga Theater Studio. The two artists talked in a relaxed atmosphere about friendship in the theater, the existence of an actor, the role-making process, their attitude towards life in general and much more.
