“Cycle K” diesel fuel with cold resistance from -20 degrees is already available

At “Circle K” gas stations in Latvia, you can buy diesel fuel with resistance to cold from -20 ° C, so that drivers can fill up with diesel fuel suitable for the winter season when the freeze in.

“We started delivering Arctic A0 diesel fuel to gas stations already at the beginning of November, so that customers could gradually fill their cars with fuel suitable for the season. We will gradually increase the cold resistance of the diesel fuel sold at the stations, and in December, Arctic class A1 diesel fuel with resistance to at least -26 °C will already be available, which will ensure that start the car without problems early in the morning and on a big island,” says Gatis Titovs, head of the fuel department of “Circle K Latvia”.

Gatis Titovs says that in the unstable weather of autumn, when the air temperature reaches lower levels, it is recommended to fill cars with a diesel engine more often. Therefore, the pre-filled diesel fuel with lower resistance to cold will mix with the new one and it will be possible to move smoothly to a fuel suitable for the winter season. On the other hand, so that the water in the fuel system does not start to form corrosion, does not freeze in winter and does not stop the operation of the engine, the fuel in the tank should be more more than half.

“Rapid changes in temperature during the night and during the day can cause condensation in the fuel tank. Even a small amount of condensation can adversely affect the cooling of the fuel and cause damage in the long run. It is worth filling the fuel tank with arctic diesel fuel and keeping it full, so that there is no condensation in the tank,” advises Gatis Titovs.

“K Ring” winter diesel mileage contains special additives that ensure greater fuel economy and prevent the accumulation of deposits in the engine. On the other hand, mileage + diesel fuel, in addition to fuel economy, makes it easier to start the engine in very cold weather, cleaning and reducing the noise characteristic of a diesel engine.
