However, the risk of cybercrime is also closely linked to digitization. This is one of the great challenges of today and should therefore be considered comprehensively. “In addition to the protection of people and their data, cybersecurity also includes the security of technical systems and digital processes against malicious access, disruption and manipulation,” explains Markus Moser, Managing Director of IT Community Styria (ITCS). “Cybersecurity should be perceived and treated as a strategic issue because every industry, every company, every department and ultimately every employee can be affected.”

Bearing Point customers also benefit from the active review of their system for security gaps (Advanced Thread Inspection), because the ongoing implementation of penetration tests makes a significant contribution to guaranteeing all business partners the highest possible security and availability of the stored data.

Cybersecurity is an aspect of digitization that must be taken into account on an ongoing basis, when opening emails, downloading documents, purchasing hardware and software, adapting digital processes and, last but not least, investing in networked machines as part of the implementation of IoT strategies. “The General Data Protection Regulation has brought the importance of data security closer to the general public. The members of the IT Community Styria have the latest knowledge of security measures, are in exchange with international experts and have been partners of renowned security solution providers for many years. That’s how we in the Green Party Mark has the competence to strengthen the digital security of our companies and institutions,” explains Moser.
