Years of expectations and a spectacular flop at the climax. This is how you can describe the process of creating Cyberpunk 2077 from the player’s perspective. The workers were blamed on the spot CD Projekt RED, the company responsible for creating the game. As it turns out, the truth may be slightly different.

Disappointing premiere
The gaming community first heard about Cyberpunk in 2012, when the first announcement appeared. Production started four years later, and we had to wait for the premiere until December 10, 2020. The title looked great. Regular demonstrations built up the tension in expectations, and leaks gave hope that the final product would not disappoint.
However, the hopes turned out to be irrelevant, as the game, which found its way to store shelves, was far from fulfilling given promises. Players complained about a huge amount of bugs, which often affected the integrity of the game. The price of a single share from the peak PLN 443 soared quickly downwards. Currently, its price is less than one hundred zlotys.
CD Projekt not necessarily to blame?
The creators were immediately blamed for delivering a poor quality product. They took the words of criticism, promising to fix their game quickly. Currently, Cyberpunk 2077 is fully playable, and the scandal has slowly started to blur. As it turns out, someone else may be responsible for the appearance of the product on the day of its premiere.
As revealed by YouTuber Upper Echelon Games, who was supposed to acquire a large-scale report, the Polish company was to be deceived by the Romanian company Quantic Lab. This one was responsible for testing Cyberpunk 2077 and was supposed to lie to CD Projekt on key issues, such as the number of employees testing the game or the internship and experience of employees.
If the news turns out to be true, CD Projekt may indeed have fallen victim to Quantic Lab’s unreliable handling of the case. The company’s representatives have not commented on the rumors so far. However, it is worth remembering that the manufacturer should be aware of the quality of his product at the time of its premiere.
