One week after the launch of Cyberpunk 2077 and all the controversies that have surrounded the title of CD Project RED, extremely not up to expectations on consoles, Sony has definitely made his move. After the rebounds on the refunds, with consumers not quite sure how to move, the Japanese company announced that will offer full refunds to players – but there’s more: Cyberpunk 2077 has been removed from PlayStation Store until further notice.
Until, probably, there are no significant updates, then, Sony will no longer sell the game in PS4 format on its digital platform. The announcement comes from a special official page opened by the company, where you can already apply for a refund and where we read:
SIE is keen to best satisfy its customers, therefore we will begin offering a full refund for all players who have purchased Cyberpunk 2077 via PlayStation Store. Moreover, SIE will remove Cyberpunk 2077 from PlayStation Store until further notice.
The news follows the awareness that Cyberpunk 2077, despite the technical conditions to be improved, had passed the checks for admission to the PS Store because Sony he trusted that the situation would improve before launch. As we know this was not the case, and for this reason the game will no longer be available for purchase until new. Actually right now, by searching for “Cyberpunk” on PlayStation Store, the role play is no longer present.
The rumor that Sony wanted was aired in these hours be very annoyed from the situation and certainly this decision confirms that the PlayStation house was far from pleased with the conditions of the game, also for the controversy it has triggered about the technical capabilities of its PS4.
We will see how CD Projekt will comment on this decision, if it does. The current state, Cyberpunk 2077 remains available on PC, Stadia and Xbox One.
