On December 23, Paste Magazine published an article about Cyberpunk 2077, the author of which compared the game … with Adolf Hitler.
The column notes that this is as much GOTY as Hitler was Time’s Person of the Year.
Cyberpunk 2077’s multiple failures sum up everything wrong with the videogame industry. It’s the game of the year in the same way Hitler was Time’s Man of the Year. https://t.co/YzPUYkR7tM pic.twitter.com/0myfFtUnUC

Of course, this kind of note caused a violent reaction on the Internet – including those who were not satisfied with the quality of the game from CD Projekt RED.
Creative director of SIE Santa Monica Corey Barlog notedthat such articles are one of the main problems of the gaming industry.
This stuff here is exactly what is wrong with the industry. We literally devour each other for clicks and money. To be honest, I don’t understand why the hell nobody cares anymore.
In turn, BioWare Producer Michael Gamble proposed to the author to present himself in the place of developers.
Imagine that you are one of those developers who have actually worked hard on the game (and continue to do so until the holidays), and you are reading this headline. Be ashamed.
Independent developer Rami Ismail too notedthat the comparison turned out to be frankly unsuccessful.
I hate to upset you, but it might not be a good idea to draw an analogy between bad acting and Hitler.
Star Wars: Squadrons Writer Mitch Dyer Just In Case asked, are journalists aware that the article will be seen all over the world.
The article also reacted Senior Quest Designer for Cyberpunk 2077 Philip Weber.
I’ll put it as lightly as I can: go to hell. As a German living and working in Poland, I find such comparisons for the sake of a joke extremely disgusting.
Senior Game Designer Andrzej Zawadski agreed with him and addedthat such comparisons are a banal disrespect for developers.
