Cyberpunk 2077: gun details, V’s origins, and a hint of Keanu Reeves [VIDÉOS]

Good that Cyberpunk 2077 has been postponed to mid-November, we cannot say that the CD Projekt Red team has left us immersed in mystery in the meantime.

For the second time since the start of the summer, the studio on Monday shared a new wave of information about its highly anticipated action RPG, as part of a Night City Wire presentation.

On the one hand, we had the opportunity to have a little more details about the three different “life paths” – Street Kid, Nomad and Corporate – which we can endow its main character during its creation.

The system will therefore allow the origins and different characteristics of the protagonist to be personalized, in addition to influencing the beginning of the story and the dialogues to which players will have access.

For example, the Street Kid will start his journey in the streets of Night City, being aware of the neighborhoods and gangs of the megalopolis, while the Nomad will start the game within a clan installed in the desert, on the outskirts of the city. . As for the Corporate, it will be rather immersed in the shenanigans of the big companies of Night City, being himself the employee of one of them.

That said, no matter which route we choose, we will fortunately have access to the entire history of Cyberpunk 2077 and all of its regions.

Weapons of all kinds

Another aspect of this second Night City Wire event was the presentation of several weapons from the upcoming CD Projekt Red game.

At first glance, we notice the great variety on this side in Cyberpunk 2077, but also the originality of some of the studio’s creations.

Notably, in addition to a selection of destructive shotguns, players will be able to get their hands on smart weapons, with homing bullets or bullets that can bypass obstacles, melee weapons (we want this thermal katana) and even tools that will be directly integrated into their character.

You will be able to graft a rocket launcher or a pair of blades directly into V’s forearms. Enough to multiply the possibilities of chaos …

A suspicion of Keanu

For music fans, this Monday’s meeting also allowed us to learn more about the collaboration with the group Refused, which signs the music of Samurai, a fictional musical formation of Cyberpunk 2077, led by the character played by Keanu Reeves, Johnny Silverhand.

While the short capsule sheds light on Refused’s creative process, among other things, it also features, to our delight, new images of Silverhand in action.

And, yes, it looks like big Keanu!

For all this, however, it will be necessary to wait until November 19, when the game will appear on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Stadia.
