The month of January keeps bringing us bad news! After Marvel’s Avengers which is postponed until September 4, then Final Fantasy VII Remake until April 10, it is the turn of the biggest video game wait of the year 2020 to be postponed for several months.
Fans who already saw the winding streets of Night City will see their planning turned upside down. Indeed, Cyberpunk 2077 is pushed back until September 17, 2020 as confirmed by the official CD Projekt Red Twitter!
We are currently at a stage where the game is complete and playable, but there is still work to be done. Night City is huge – full of stories, content, and places to visit, but due to the breadth and complexity of it all, we need more time to complete the game’s testing and finishing. We want Cyberpunk 2077 to be our success for this generation and postponing the launch will give us the precious months we need to make the game perfect.
Even if it remains restrictive, the various comments available above show that CD Projekt Red intends to tweak their next creation in every detail. However to be able to take advantage of all these improvements, players will have to take their troubles patiently and wait until September 17, 2020.
