“It’s going to be frustrating for game users, but consumers are generally very sympathetic when something like this happens,” said Louise Shorthouse, Senior Games Analyst at Ampere Analysis.
“This comes after a series of recent ransomware attacks against gaming companies, including Capcom and Ubisoft late last year.”
According to the Shorthouse, fixes and updates Cyberpunk 2077 will be longer for a while. Because, currently developers are still prioritizing overcoming the effects of ransomware attacks.
