Cyberpunk 2077 1.06 no longer destroys saved positions, there is also a utility for higher performance

It turned outthat if any of the files with stored positions in the game Cyberpunk 2077 exceeds the capacity of 8 MB, it is suddenly irretrievably damaged and there is no way to use it again. It is still true that once damaged stored positions, no one can put them together, but after updating the game to version 1.06, we no longer have to worry that the 8MB limit will still apply. It has been removed, so the position files should always be saved correctly so that we can test what it can do and offer a “crafting” system of the game. It was in this that the dog was buried, or rather it was that people who used the character’s ability to produce their own things with the help of components had an inventory overflowing with material or objects for disassembly, and this is what is rapidly increasing the size of files with stored positions. –

Version 1.06 should also be of great interest to players with older consoles, as memory management has been improved for greater game stability. The third and final novelty concerns the corrected quest Second Conflict, from which the character Dum Dum should no longer disappear.

However, we have another novelty that should be of particular interest to owners of older PCs, or it cannot even be recommended for newer hardware with RTX cards. It’s for sure EZ Optimizer, which is to ensure a very high increase in performance by tuning the usually inaccessible options of the game. However, this applies rather to older sets with Pascal generation cards and the like. We can use utilities download right here and then all you have to do is copy the contents of the archive to the folder with the game installed and run it. –

However, Windows (or one of the antivirus programs) may report that the archive hides a virus, which is only a consequence of the utility modifying some of the game’s files. It was the same with patch for the use of SMT on Ryzen processors. The author of EZ Optimizer also provides a report from VirusTotal, according to which the file is safe. –

After launching, we will choose how the game should be optimized. We can leave the default setting (Default), or use a balanced setting between quality and performance (Balanced) or tune the game to the maximum in terms of performance (Max Boost). For owners of GPUs Pascal or even older, there is also the possibility to disable asynchronous processing, or it is for everyone, but on newer GPUs we could rather hurt and it is probably not advisable to try it in general on Radeons.

Everyone then has to test for themselves whether the EZ Optimizer will bring them anything at all. The author claims that on his GTX 1070 Ti he recorded between 42 and 51 FPS by default, while the Balanced mode brought 54 to 71 FPS and Max Boost even 51 to 80 FPS and during the day (in the game, of course) even 88 FPS. The author then highly recommends the Max Boost mode for owners of GTX 1060 and similar cards, and people really respond with the fact that the game is really much more agile on such cards.
