The US will respond to Russia if it turns out that the country was involved in the recent hacker attack on the Kaseya company. However, while the United States does not yet know exactly who is behind the cyber attack, said President Joe Biden. On Saturday, July 4, reports Reuters.

Biden noted that he instructed the special services to conduct an investigation.

“We are not sure if these are Russians … Initially it was assumed that this is not the Russian government, but we are not sure yet,” Biden said, commenting on the incident.

Earlier it became known that on the eve of the Independence Day of the United States, which is celebrated on July 4, the American IT firm Kaseya hit by cyberattack, as a result of which at least 200 companies using its software were affected.

Recall that during the summit in Switzerland Biden handed the list to Russian President Vladimir Putin sectors of the economy and infrastructure that should not be subject to cyber attacks.

The day before, the United States and Britain announced that the GRU is behind the Russian hackers… The intelligence and special services of the two countries have published a report in which the responsibility for hundreds of cyberattacks in the past two years is attributed to the Russian department.
