The Cyber Police warns about alleged “immediate loans.”

In portals and social networks, users have been detected that certain credits without so much formality requesting previous deposits to release the loan.

This is through false internet pages such as advertisements on false financial news portals, for which the Secretary of Public Security calls on the public not to be deceived and to report immediately to 911.

Taking advantage of the need of the population generated by the economic crisis exacerbated by the covid-19 pandemic, criminals offer immediate loans and without requirements to commit fraud on social networks.

These ads usually appear in newspapers and news portals requesting deposits ranging from 700 to 1,200 pesos, to release the false credits.

For this reason, the Cyber Police alerted the population about these deceptions that are also made through apocryphal internet pages and advertisements in newspapers of false financials.

Sources close to Public Security emphasized that once the person fell into the deception, the false pages with which the alleged financial companies are promoted disappear from the web.

For this reason, they call on the population not to trust in obtaining accessible loans on the internet and to go to financial companies with legal addresses directly in branches and to verify the status of companies.

They also announced that a new way of scamming has emerged and is through the alleged acquisition of security cameras.

In the same way, it is recommended not to provide personal information either by phone or through the internet.

Through a phone call, they pose as an accountant or manager of the business, they also present themselves as an employee of a private security company, who is supposedly going to send a package of video surveillance cameras purchased by the owner, requesting to do a deposit.

The modus operandi

In social networks, mainly in job search groups in the region, users are observed performing this type of fraud. “Hi, nice to see you, (the loan is) from 1,000 to 90,000, what are you waiting for? Just go in and ask for your credit,” announces the user “Teresita Rodríguez.”

According to the requirements of the supposed promotion, a simple one is to fill out a form stating that there is a probability of approval of more than 87 percent of the applications that are approved within a period of 5 minutes.

Once the information is given in a portal, a call is received that “the loan has been approved”, however, before doing so, the applicant must deposit between $ 200 and $ 2 thousand to a bank account to speed up the procedures.
