The decision to change sides came from a conversation between the team’s doctor, Rodrigo Lasmar, and the respective clubs. Diniz had already lost two players to injury previously: Caio Henrique, Monaco’s left-back replaced by Guilherme Arana, and Raphinha, Barcelona’s forward who gave way to David Neres.
Leader of the Qualifiers after two rounds, Brazil faces Venezuela, on the 12th of October, at the Arena Panatanal, and then goes to Montevideo to face Uruguay, on the 17th. The players should start presenting themselves for Fernando Diniz’s team at from the 7th.
