President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) again met with his grandson, Jan Ethes, at the Yogyakarta Presidential Palace. Jokowi and Jan Ethes spend time together by cycling to walking in the morning.

Jokowi was seen holding Jan Ethes’ hand while walking. Moreover, Jan Ethes occasionally waved his hand towards the Palace gates.
“It feels like just yesterday that Jan Ethes was rocking as a baby. And time flies so fast. For a year and a half in a pandemic atmosphere, I rarely see my grandson,” Jokowi wrote in the video description section.
“Last week, Jan Ethes was already lively accompanying me for morning walks and cycling around the Yogyakarta palace,” continued Jokowi.
The former mayor of Solo hopes that the situation in Indonesia will recover soon. In this way, people can freely gather with their families again.
“I always hope that this pandemic can end soon. So that we are all free to meet family again, gather with children, grandchildren, and friends,” said Jokowi.
