CUT: Zlín – Olomouc 3:2. Slončík’s match, Sigma reduced in the end

Football players from Zlín won after five matches in FORTUNA:LIZE. In the 27th round, they defeated Olomouc 3:2 mainly thanks to two goals and one assist from Tom Slončík. In the end, Singhateh and Pospíšil prevailed for the sinking Sigma.

After the second win of the spring, Ševci secured the 14th place in the incomplete table with a lead of five points over the last České Budějovice. Sigma lost the third round in a row to remain eighth.

The visiting footballers entered the match with greater attacking vigor and commitment and could have taken the lead already in the second minute, but Dostál blocked Zorvana’s accurate and hard shot with an effective save.

Zlín got out of Hanák’s grip very slowly, and when he had already settled in front of Sigma’s penalty area for a long time, he lacked a better final pass. Bartošák shot wide in the 22nd minute, Vukadinović again hesitated at the right moment to finish.

In the 31st minute, he headed into the arms of Zlín goalkeeper Dostála Vraštil, but the home team took the lead five minutes later. Fantiš found a free Slončík on the left side, who delighted the home crowd with a precise shot to the far post. Thus, the cobblers took the lead in the match for the first time ever in the spring.

The equal beginning of the second half was broken up by the 55th minute. Slončík sent a perfectly fluffy free kick into the penalty area on the head of Černín, and the Zlin player hit the post. He scored for the third time in the league season.

It was a clear signal for Sigma to step up their offensive efforts, boosted by three substitutes. However, the team did not manage the defensive phase and was punished with a third goal in their own net. Vukadinovič took the ball away from Novák, his shot was deflected by Stoppen, Schánělec missed the first save, but Slončík had already tapped into the empty goal. The under-21 representative scored two goals in one match for the second time in his league career.

The visitors were clearly uncomfortable, the home team could have controlled the end of the match, the fourth goal was close after Slončík and Bartošák. But there was an unnecessary hand from Pidro in the penalty area and Singhateh lowered the penalty after consultation with the video assistant Berka. The Gambian player scored for the first time in his eighth start in the Czech league.

In the third minute of set-up, Dostála also scored Pospíšil’s cross, the midfielder from Olomouc was among the scorers for the first time in the season of the top league. But the Hanáci did not reach the point. Thus, Sigma did not follow up on the past three league victories at Letná from Zlín.
