The governorate attributed the reason for the cut to the fact that the Drinking Water and Sanitation Executive Agency connected the new 1000mm diameter Osim water line to the existing 900mm diameter water line. It is a question of starting the management of the Osim water station to improve the quality of the service offered to citizens.
The governorate has indicated that the disruption of the service will lead to a weakening of the water in the villages north of Giza, “Bahrmus, Al-Manashy, Al-Jalatmeh, That Al-Kom”.
Major General Ahmed Rashid, governor of Giza, instructed the head of the Drinking Water and Wastewater Society to meet the deadlines set for the works to pump water back into its natural form in the affected areas, providing at the time same means of water to the areas to be interrupted during the period of the works.
The governor also instructed the heads of the centers and cities of Usim, Kerdasa and Manshaat Al-Qanater to follow up on the ground and coordinate with the concerned authorities to quickly finish the works on the specified dates and remove any obstacles. .
And the Giza Governorate has indicated that the Drinking Water and Sanitation Company will provide cars loaded with clean and potable water to move to the affected places, and for emergencies, call the 125 hotline to meet their needs immediately.
