In the second round of the English league, the Chelsea footballers won 6:2 at Wolverhampton and scored for the first time in the new season. Noni Madueke flashed a hat-trick in 14 minutes. Liverpool beat Brentford 2-0 at home and remain 100 per cent under new coach Arne Sloto.
The Senegalese Jackson opened the score in Wolverhampton after 98 seconds and took care of Chelsea’s fastest goal in the last seven years. The home team responded thanks to Cunha in the 27th minute. The Blues regained the lead thanks to Palmer’s superb lob, but Larsen equalized in the first half. The Norwegian striker scored for the first time since his summer transfer from Celta Vigo.
Madueke started his shooting performance in the 49th minute. Palmer assisted him on all three hits. In the 79th minute, Lemin’s goal was disallowed due to offside, and on the other side, the visitors’ sixth goal was added by substitute returnee Félix.
