A customs officer assigned to the Toulon Interior Surveillance Brigade (BSI) ended his life this Friday, April 28, the CFDT Customs union announced in a message of condolence posted on its Facebook page this weekend.
The facts took place in the brigade’s weapons room, reveals the Actu17 site.
According to our information, the body of the victim was discovered immediately after a detonation sounded, this Friday around 4 p.m., in the customs offices located in the Mourillon district.
A young father
Mortally shot in the head, the 26-year-old customs officer was the father of a little girl, said a source close to customs in Toulon.
The young man had been assigned to the BSI of Toulon for about a year, indicates the same source.
The public prosecutor, quoted by Actu17, confirmed the opening of an investigation to determine the causes and the exact circumstances of the death. The departmental security is in charge of the investigations.
