“Customs Intercepts 480g of Herbal Cannabis from the United States Bound for Sannois, Val-d’Oise – Stolen Identity Card Used for Delivery”

The delivery of cannabis coming from UNITED STATES and bound for Sannois (Val-d’Oise) had been intercepted by the customs services. It was last April that the agents discovered in a suspicious package 480g herbal cannabis. On it, the name of the recipient.

As soon as the package was delivered to him personally, the individual was arrested by the police and placed in police custody.

Stolen identity card

During his interrogation, he refused to communicate the password of his telephone which did not allow the exploitation of it by the investigators in order to establish in particular whether the defendant was engaged in drug trafficking or not. .

The investigation carried out by urban security, however, revealed that the individual was using a stolen identity card to have their parcels delivered.

He was the subject of a research file

The true identity of the latter having been discovered by the police, it appeared that he was the subject of a search sheet issued by the Paris court, so that he executes a sentence of eight months of imprisonment pronounced against him on May 25, 2016, for scam facts.

Brought to an immediate appearance on Tuesday May 2, 2023 before the Pontoise Criminal Court, he was placed in pre-trial detention pending his judgment postponed to a later date.
