TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The Director General of Customs and Excise (DJBC) of the Ministry of Finance has finally opened his voice regarding the viral news of trips by private jet son of President Jokowi, Keasang Pangarep and his wife Erina Gudono, who allegedly did not follow customs inspection procedures.

“We are still investigating the status of the flight in the video,” said the Director of Communications and Service User Guidance Customs, Nirwala Dwi Heriyanto, when contacted in Jakarta, Monday, August 26 2024.

Before that, a video was circulated showing Kaesang and Erina getting off a private jet. Both of them were carrying several shopping bags, and they were all taken into the car immediately.

The video was uploaded by the X account @aqfiazfan on Sunday, August 25, 2024. Reacting to the video, netizens suspected that Kaesang and Erina did not follow the customs inspection procedures that should be followed. everyone had to go through when they were bringing goods from abroad.

According to Nirwala, customs checks are done for international flights. Meanwhile, domestic flights do not have to go through customs inspection.

“If the flight (Erina-Kaesang) is a domestic flight, there is no need to go through Customs. “At the same time, if the flight is an international flight, it will go through international airport clearance procedures, including immigration and customs,” he said.

Erina and Kaesang have received a lot of attention on social media recently, one of which is related to allegations that they both used a private jet when traveling to the United States. After that, the X account @aqfiazfan posted an old video of Kaesang and his wife who had just gotten off a Gulfstream G650ER private jet with the number N588SE.

In his tweet, the owner of the account explained that the video was taken in Surakarta, Central Java, on September 17, 2023. The day before, the plane crossed from the United States to Surakarta and stopped in Halim, Jakarta.

The Director General of Customs and Excise confirmed that if the plane is an international flight, the luggage must go through the following procedures. international airport clearanceincluding immigration and customs.

Postponing the progress of regional elections

The attention on Kaesang is not just a matter of private jets to America. But there is also drama that he did not run for the Central Java Regional Election alongside the former Regional Police Chief, Ahmad Luthfi.

Previously, Kaesang, who was only 29 years old, was able to run for the Provincial Pilkada after the Supreme Court amended the Pilkada Law to allow candidates to run even though they were only 30 years old when that the decision was made.

“However, reading the decision of the Supreme Court regarding the age of candidates, PSI urged Kaesang within this constitutional position to take part in the Pilkada 2024 contest,” said e.

At the same time, he said he knew that one of the PSI DPP chairmen had ordered an administrative worker to help Kaesang to take care of the administrative requirements of the regional elections.
