Customs Allow Owner PS Store Putra Siregar Arrested!

Jakarta, CNBC IndonesiaThe Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC) has arrested entrepreneurs with the initials ‘PS’ related to ownership and distribution of illegal goods.

Head of the Jakarta Regional Office of Customs Compliance and Public Relations Guidance Section Ricky Mohamad Hanafie confirmed that the PS was Putra Siregar who is the owner of PS Store.

“Yes, it is true (Putra Siregar),” said Ricky when confirmed the initials of PS or Putra Siregar on a telephone line to CNBC Indonesia, Tuesday (07/28/2020).

“The process at the Customs has been completed. Arrested and handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office to undergo court and trial proceedings,” he added.

Ricky said Customs would like to provide education to the public on this case.

“We want to provide education to the public, be careful of the lure of low prices and low prices because it can be illegal. With this case we must be careful, actually legal is easy.”

Putra Siregar is the owner of PS Store which is famous for giving giveaway to endorse many famous artists.

Previously reported, the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC) had arrested entrepreneurs with the initials ‘PS’ related to the ownership and distribution of illegal goods.

The Jakarta Customs and Excise Regional Office conducts Phase II (Submission of Evidence and Suspects) to the East Jakarta State Prosecutor’s Office on the results of investigating customs criminal acts.

The submission of the evidence and the suspect was carried out in violation of Article 103 letter d of Law No. 17 of 2006 on Customs.

“The suspect initials PS has been submitted along with evidence including 190 used cellphones of various brands and cash from the sale of Rp 61,300,000,” the Customs and Excise Office in Jakarta said in a statement on Tuesday (7/28/2020).

“In addition, the assets / income of the suspect confiscated were also handed over at the investigation stage, and will be counted as a guarantee of payment of criminal penalties in the context of state financial recovery (Dhanapala Recovery) consisting of cash worth Rp 500,000,000, – a house worth Rp. 1.15 billion, and a bank account valued at Rp 50,000,000, “added the Customs explanation.

Customs claims, the surrender of evidence and the suspect is one form of Customs commitment to protect the public from the circulation of illegal goods and secure state revenue.

“Going forward, the Jakarta Regional Customs Office will continue to try to protect domestic industries so that state revenue can be optimized.”
