We often tell you about various projects from the international tuning scene, but the truth is that in our country there are also very capable people who modify their own or foreign cars. An example of such is a Moskvich 2140, whose photos were circulated yesterday in several car groups on Facebook. Behind the project is a profile with the name Petkov Mp, and photos and brief information were shared in the group Auto-moto club Kazanlak.
The Soviet car received a 30 cm lower ceiling than the Ford Orion, and together with that it “lost” two of its rear doors. For this reason, it was also necessary to make special glasses to fit the new shapes. The more observant in the comments noticed that the windshield is actually a rear Ford.
For the time being, the factory engine works under the hood with a revised volume of up to 1.7 liters, but we will probably see more improvements there as well in the near future. The transmission is from a Ford Sierra V6, and under the shell is an air suspension from a BMW E30, which increases the footprint by about 25 cm. Rims with a wider rim are fitted, which gather under the flared eyebrows of the fenders.
The interior is a combination of an Audi dashboard, Golf Mk2 seats and custom made elements. The owner also boasts extras like power windows, air conditioning, power sunroof, hydraulics, rear view camera, navigation and more.
