Jakarta –
When buying noodles for IDR 50 thousand, people certainly hope to get food that is worth it, both in terms of taste and portion. This woman ended up disappointed because the portion of noodles she received was very small!
Citizens of the Lion Country often complain about prices and portions of food when eating out. They regretted the expensive menu prices, but apparently the portions were not worth it.
The food portions were considered so small that they did not meet their expectations. One of them was posted by a Facebook netizen named Jayden Lee.
Through uploads in the group Facebook Complaint Singapore (2/10/2023), he shared his experience of eating lor mee at Kampung Admiralty Hawker Centre, Woodlands. Lee also included a photo of the lor mee he bought.

It looks like the bowl is big, but the lor mee filling and the sauce are a bit small. The noodles were ‘rare’ with a thick sauce that didn’t even reach half the bowl.
Lee considers this portion of lor mee not worth the price. Judging from the comments column of this Facebook post, the price for a portion of lor mee there is SGD 4.5 or around IDR 50 thousand.
“The amount of mee hoon served was so small that it could only be eaten in two spoonfuls. This not only disappointed me, but also attracted the attention of other visitors, including staff at a nearby coffee shop. He admitted that he was surprised by the unattractive portion and presentation of the lor mee ,” Lee wrote.
Personally, he admitted that he understands that food with economical prices usually has smaller portions. However, he did not expect that the portion of food this time was far from the standard he expected.
Lee said, “I believe that customers should receive food in reasonable portions. Such small portions not only impact customer satisfaction, but also tarnish the reputation of the hawker center and its sellers.”
In one of the photos, Lee shows the lor mee filling being lifted. The amount can even be ‘transported’ all in one duck spoon. This also provoked comments from netizens.

One of them said that the lor mee portion seemed more suitable for children. “That’s a portion for children, not adults. Food portions are smaller and the price is more expensive,” said the netizen.
A netizen also shared his experience of eating at the same place. He admitted that he had asked for extra noodles, but apparently it didn’t make a big difference. According to him, the price of lor mee is still not worth it.
Even worse, a netizen also highlighted the rude attitude of the Lor Mee outlet employees which disappointed him. “The lack of noodle portions is a problem, and (plus) interactions with cashiers and outlet employees who have bad attitudes really make my morning bad,” said the netizen.
