Customer Throws Food at Waitress and Comes Back to Hit Her in The Bronx – NBC New York

Police are looking for a man who allegedly dined at a restaurant Hibachi in the Bronx and tried to leave without paying earlier this week, threw food at the waitress who tried to stop him and returned later to punch her in the face, authorities say.

The suspect had to pay a bill of around $70 at Hibachi Grill and Supreme Buffet in 161st Street on Monday and then tried to leave.

A 21-year-old waitress confronted him outside the restaurant, at which point a fight broke out and he allegedly threw food at her, along with other employees, police said.

He left, only to return a short time later.

The uniformed said that the alleged attacker approached the 21-year-old employee who had confronted him earlier when she was behind the counter. The suspect punched him in the face and ran off again, police added.

The victim was treated at a hospital for bruising, pain and swelling and is expected to be okay.
