A customer council represents the general interests of customers using ambulance transport. The council advises, solicited and unsolicited, the direction and management of the regional ambulance service on matters concerning customers, such as:
- accessibility and accessibility of ambulance care
- quality survey and customer satisfaction survey
- patient safety and information security
- coordination of care
- regional distribution and availability of ambulances
- provision of the regional ambulance service (RAV)
The client council also has the right of consent in certain areas. In this way, customer advice contributes to the further improvement of the quality of ambulance assistance.
A customer tip for Brabant
To create a single customer council in the province of North Brabant, RAV Brabant Midden-West-Noord sought cooperation with our ambulance assistance from GGD Brabant-Zuidoost. There are a number of reasons for this: Our RAVs already work closely together, including at the ambulance control room in Den Bosch. We also work as unambiguously as possible and are both public services with a joint regulation of the municipalities of Brabant.
The only difficult condition for joining the client council is that you have to live in Brabant. Members must not have experience with ambulance assistance on their own. But it is important that they have an affinity with caring and willingness to represent the interests of a large group. After a round of selection, five enthusiastic members were named. Three of them live in the Mid-West-North Brabant region, two members live in the Brabant-Southeast. One of the members has the role of chairman.
GGD Brabant-Southeast Director Ellis Jeurissen: “Our Client Council is strategic, diversified in composition and focused on patients and employees. Curious, positively critical and environmentalconsciously. He keeps us on the lookout and I am very pleased that the two Brabant RAVs have jointly set up a customer council. “
Former RAV director Ger Jacobs: “We found that the many questions asked by the shareholders showed that they had deeply immersed themselves in our industry. They did this, for example, by reading our long-term plans and viewing websites. We are delighted with the great involvement of the customer council in our RAVs and look forward to cooperating with confidence. “
