Cyclists know how difficult it is to buy a saddle that fits well. What if you could have a saddle custom made right to your background? You don’t even have to leave your home for that… A Czech startup offers exactly such a service She sat down.
The procedure is a bit more complicated after all. You start with a payment by e-shop, you will then receive a Smiling Butt Kit – a measuring set, a cardboard box with foam inside. You print your background into it according to the instructions, take a picture of the result and insert it into the configurator. The foam has a cube structure, so the algorithm is able to reconstruct a 3D model of the buttocks, from which it can determine the distance between the sitting bones and other information. Then you add information about your age, how long your rides are, what position you sit on the bike, etc.
The result is ten parameters on the basis of which Posedla will produce a unique Joyseat. If everything goes well, the saddle will have the right shape and the right stiffness in the individual parts.
The seat has a carbon skeleton, the padding is created by Multi Jet Fusion 3D printing from thermoplastic polyurethane.
You can choose the color of the insert and the creators obviously don’t lack the right sports humor 🙂

It all takes time and costs a lot of money: 6 to 8 weeks and 11,900 CZK. But the creators and a number of ambassadors claim that it is worth paying extra for this unique service.
