For its 19th edition, the “Theater in Autumn” festival was undoubtedly a success.
The theater week, in Chelle-Debat, offered comedies every evening to the great pleasure of the public who are loyal from year to year, but also new spectators. Throughout the week, around 900 people came to attend evenings with a varied and funny choice of programming and pieces for all tastes.
As always, the association had chosen local theater groups, for the most part.
L’Atelier Cabanac presented “La Facture” as an opening, then the Compagnie du Baluchon, a Tarbes troupe, “Mafia therapy” directed by Bruno Spiesser and Patrick Lode. The latter staged a play inspired by the tale of the Brothers Grimm, “Gutel, Hansel and the others” and “Les Crapauds Fous” with the troupe Les Allumés d’Orleix while Bruno Spiesser presented his work “Piaf ma frangine” .
Nathalie Reynaud presented “Molière finds colors” by the company Ombres et Couleurs, a piece already presented in the region but still appreciated.
The “Theater in Autumn” Festival ended on Saturday evening in front of a packed house to attend the play by Dryadalis company, entitled “Tapis Jaune”. The funny story of a New Year’s Eve between friends in a trendy 70s atmosphere and a declaration that will set things on fire. They are touring the great South-West in rural areas and the actors celebrated their 50th performance in Chelle-Debat.
Happy with the week, the Autumn Theater Association team would like to be joined by new members. They will now prepare the 20th edition.
