Curry leaves are a storehouse of vitamin A, vitamin C, potassium, calcium, fiber, copper, iron and several other important nutrients. These nutrients then often help promote weight loss, diabetes management, improve gut health and more.

Some health experts say that risk factors such as: high cholesterol can increase heart risk. Adding curry leaves to the diet can help reduce high cholesterol and triglyceride levels, which further lowers the risk of heart problems.
“We observed that curry leaf extract has properties for lowering blood cholesterol and blood glucose levels,” says a study published in the American Journal of Chinese Medicine.
This experiment was carried out on diabetic rats. The researchers gave the mice intraperitoneal injections of curry leaf extract daily for 10 consecutive days. It was found that the extract significantly lowered blood cholesterol and blood glucose levels.
