General practitioners advocate vaccination of adolescents from the age of twelve, especially in medical practices: If the Standing Vaccination Commission recommends vaccination only for children and adolescents with previous illnesses, the best way to assess who is included is in the practices, says association boss Ulrich Weigeldt of the Reuters news agency . The medical history of patients is known in the practices. Doctors could therefore work with patients to weigh up the risks and benefits of a vaccination.
