Current Viking Lars-Jørgen Salvesen visiting Stavanger

BLID: Lars-Jørgen Salvesen met VG in Zagreb. It was his first trip to Europe for Bodø/Glimt.

Lars-Jørgen Salvesen (26) could already be leaving from Bodø/Glimt. He was in talks with what could potentially be his new employer on Sunday.

Just before Christmas he wrote Stavanger Aftenblad that Bodø/Glimt has accepted an offer from Viking for the tip of Glimt.

According to what VG learns, Bodø/Glimt have informed Salvesen that they will take a new first choice at the top, and therefore the 26-year-old has chosen to travel to Stavanger for a non-binding interview.

Salvesen was observed at Sola airport on Sunday evening. VG knows he was in talks with Viking on Sunday. From what VG understands, Salvesen is in the thinking box. He still has three years on his contract with Bodø / Glimt.

VG is informed that the man whom Bodø/Glimt has singled out in the hunt for the striker is Kristiansund striker Faris Pemi (22), as The online newspaper previously mentioned.

Salvesen was brought to Bodø by Strømsgodset this summer. So it cost a double-digit number of millions of crowns.

To date, Salvesen and fellow striker Runar Espejord (26) are the best options. If Bodø/Glimt also manage to bring in a new striker, there will initially be three strikers fighting for a place.

Vikings have struggled to score goals since selling top scorer Veton Berisha to Hammarby this summer.

It is now Lars-Jørgen Salvesen their obvious first choice in the search for a new striker.

VG was unable to get a comment from Salvesen or his agent Atta Aneke. None of the representatives of any of the clubs involved has so far answered VG’s questions.
