Update 9 t/m 15 september 2020
Last week, 8,265 new persons were reported who tested positive for COVID-19. In the past week, 92 patients were reported by the GGD Municipal Health Service who were or have been hospitalized for COVID-19. This week, 14 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 patients were reported dead. See the news item Number and share of positive tests are increasing.
In the past week, more than 195,545 people had themselves tested in the GGD test streets, last week this was 180,182 people. The percentage of positive tests nationally has increased from 2.8% in the previous week to 3.9% this week. The reproduction number has risen and is at 1.38. That means that 100 people who are infected together infect 138 others.
Not all of the patients reported in the past week tested positive, hospitalized, or died in the past week. Some patients are reported later. That is why the data from past weeks is sometimes supplemented. Because there is a good chance that not all people with COVID-19 will be tested, the actual numbers in the Netherlands are probably higher than the numbers mentioned here.
Update 2 september t/m 8 september 2020
Last week, 5,427 new people were reported who tested positive for COVID-19. That is 1,830 reports more than the number of reports last week. In the past week, 43 patients have been reported by the GGD Municipal Health Service who were or have been hospitalized for COVID-19. That is 14 fewer than last week. This week, 17 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 patients were reported dead, 7 fewer than in the previous week. See the news item increase in the number of newly reported COVID-19 infections.
In the past week, more than 180,182 people have been tested in the GGD test streets, last week this was 163,572 people. The percentage of positive tests nationally has increased from 2.2% in the previous week to 2.8% this week. The reproduction number has increased and is at 1.17. That means that 100 people who are infected together infect 117 others.
Not all of the patients reported in the past week tested positive, hospitalized, or died in the past week. Some patients are reported later. That is why the data from past weeks is sometimes supplemented. Because there is a good chance that not all people with COVID-19 will be tested, the actual numbers in the Netherlands are probably higher than the numbers mentioned here.
Update 19 augustus t/m 25 augustus 2020
Last week, 3,588 new individuals were reported who tested positive for COVID-19. That is 425 reports less than the number of reports last week. In the past week, 84 patients have been reported to have been or have been hospitalized for COVID-19. That is 34 more than last week.
This week, 32 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 patients were reported dead, 16 more than in the previous week. See the news item Slight decrease in the number of newly reported COVID-19 infections
In the past week, more than 140,000 people have had themselves tested in the GGD Municipal Health Service test streets, almost 38,000 people more than the week before. The percentage of positive tests at a national level has dropped slightly this week to 2.5%. The reproduction number is around 1.
Not all of the patients reported in the past week tested positive, hospitalized, or died in the past week. Some patients are reported later. That is why the data from past weeks is sometimes supplemented. Because it is plausible that not all people with COVID-19 are tested, the actual numbers in the Netherlands are probably higher than the numbers mentioned here.
