Limburg-Weilburg. The district administration has announced that as of Wednesday, February 10, 2021, 12 noon, 350 people are actively infected with the corona virus in the Limburg-Weilburg district. They are spread over Limburg (82), Bad Camberg (46), Hadamar (27), Brechen (23), Dornburg (22), Runkel (22), Elz (20), Selters (17), Weilburg (16), Beselich (15), Hünstelden (14), Weilmünster (12), Mengerskirchen (9), Waldbrunn (7), Villmar (5), Löhnberg (4), Weinbach (4), Merenberg (3) and Elbtal (2). So far, there have been a total of 5523 confirmed cases (+25 on the previous day), 4952 people have now recovered (+33 on the previous day). 798 people are currently in quarantine in the district. Unfortunately, 221 people died in connection with the corona virus. In the hospitals of the district there are currently 47 people infected with corona, 38 people in normal care beds and 9 in intensive care beds. In order to ensure the best possible care for Corona patients, there may be transfers between hospitals. The incidence is 77.2. The incidence describes the number of new infections with the corona virus per 100,000 inhabitants within 7 days. The population of 172,328 is used as the basis for calculating the incidence of the Limburg-Weilburg district. The Limburg-Weilburg district is the only municipality in Hesse that has had a test ordinance since December 11, 2020, under which corona tests are regularly carried out in the hospitals as well as the facilities. The test intensity depends on the infection. There are currently 88 people infected with corona, who are spread across facilities in Elz, Bad Camberg, Limburg, Runkel, Elbtal, Brechen, Dornburg and Weilmünster.
In the Limburg-Weilburg district, 3,106 people have received the first vaccination so far, and the second vaccinations are currently running within the given time frame. Around 700 people from our district were also vaccinated at the vaccination center in Wiesbaden.
