Limburg-Weilburg. The district administration has announced that as of Tuesday, December 22, 2020, 12 noon, 839 people are actively infected with the corona virus in the Limburg-Weilburg district. They are spread across Limburg (229), Hadamar (72), Dornburg (61), Brechen (57), Elz (53), Runkel (48), Beselich (46), Weilburg (43), Waldbrunn (42), Weilmünster (35), Bad Camberg (35), Hünstelden (28), Selters (25), Merenberg (15), Weinbach (14), Villmar (11), Löhnberg (11), Mengerskirchen (9) and Elbtal (5). There have been a total of 3447 confirmed cases so far (+66 on the previous day), 2544 people have now recovered (+ 54 on the previous day). 1933 people are currently in quarantine in the district. 64 people unfortunately died in connection with the corona virus, most recently one person each in Weilmünster and Brechen, three people in the hospital in Limburg and one person each in nursing homes in Limburg and Dornburg. There are currently 98 corona infected people in the district’s hospitals, 78 people in normal care beds and 20 in intensive care beds. The incidence is 347.6. The incidence describes the number of new infections with the corona virus per 100,000 inhabitants within 7 days. The population of 172,328 is used as the basis for calculating the incidence of the Limburg-Weilburg district.
There are currently positive corona cases in 13 facilities as well as in 17 schools and day-care centers. At the express request of the institutions, the Limburg-Weilburg district does not provide any further details.
