Limburg-Weilburg. The district administration has announced that as of Thursday, December 17, 2020, 12 p.m., 696 people are actively infected with the corona virus in the Limburg-Weilburg district. They are distributed over Limburg (213), Hadamar (71), Beselich (42), Dornburg (39), Runkel (37), Weilmünster (35), Bad Camberg (35), Waldbrunn (31), Weilburg (31), Elz (29), Weinbach (27), Brechen (25), Hünstelden (23), Mengerskirchen (13), Merenberg (11), Selters (10), Villmar (10), Elbtal (8) and Löhnberg (6). So far there have been a total of 2992 confirmed cases (+ 90 on the previous day), 2249 people have now recovered (+ 46 on the previous day). 1897 people are currently in quarantine in the district. Unfortunately, 47 people died in connection with the corona virus, most recently one person in the hospital in Limburg. There are currently 79 people infected with corona, 57 people in normal care beds and 22 in intensive care beds in the district’s hospitals. The incidence is 236.2. The incidence describes the number of new infections with the corona virus per 100,000 inhabitants within 7 days. The population of 172,328 is used as the basis for calculating the incidence of the Limburg-Weilburg district.
There are currently positive corona cases in the facilities of Maria Hilf Obertiefenbach, Möttau retirement and nursing home, Mother Teresa House Niederbruch, St. Georg Limburg and Carpe Diem Niederselters nursing home, as well as in the schools and day care centers at Weiltalschule Weilmünster and Erich-Kästner-Schule Limburg, Kita Niedershausen, Kita Theodor-Fliedner Niederhadamar and Kita Lahr.
