So far, there have been a total of 8088 confirmed cases (+62 on the previous day) – a mutation was detected in 1433 cases – 7034 people have now recovered (+ 58 on the previous day). Of the currently infected, 442 people are affected by a mutation. 1,854 people are currently in quarantine in the district. Unfortunately, 250 people died in connection with the corona virus. There are currently 42 corona infected people in the district’s hospitals, 21 people in normal care beds and 21 in intensive care beds. In order to ensure the best possible care for Corona patients, there may be transfers between hospitals.
The incidence is 292.5. The incidence describes the number of new infections with the corona virus per 100,000 inhabitants within 7 days. The population of 172,328 is used as the basis for calculating the incidence of the Limburg-Weilburg district. The Limburg-Weilburg district was the only district in Hesse to have had a general decree since December 11, 2020, according to which corona tests had to be carried out regularly in facilities and also in hospitals. Since the state has created such obligations for the facilities in the meantime due to the Corona facility protection ordinance, corresponding regulations of the district for the hospitals are still in place. There are currently no cases in institutions.
Positive cases have been reported at the following day care centers: Evangelical day care center on Schafsberg, Kita König Konrad Weilburg, Protestant day care Weinbach, day care Mary Poppins Elz, day care Konfetti Steeden, day care Unterm Regenbogen Münster, day care Kastanienburg Niedertiefenbach, day care Villa Kunterbunt Merenberg, day care St. Servatius Offheim, Kita St. Hildegard Limburg, Kita St. Michael Arfurt, Kiga Lollipop Elz, Kita Linter, Kita St. Mauritius Bad Camberg, Kita Winkels, Kita Rappelkiste Bad Camberg and Kita Hintermeilingen. Subsequent quarantine did not have to be ordered in all facilities. Due to the hygiene measures taken, quarantine was only necessary in 17 groups. Due to the changes to the recommendations of the RKI on March 31, 2021, there are no longer any category 1 or category 2 people, only close contact persons. No classification as a close contact person was made in any of the other groups.
In the Limburg-Weilburg district, 28,193 people have received the first vaccination so far, and the second vaccinations are currently running within the given time frame. Around 700 people from our district were also vaccinated at the vaccination center in Wiesbaden. Vaccinations that are carried out in general practitioners’ practices are not included in these statistics, as there is no report to the district.
