Economists’ comments
“The dollar is strengthening – EUR / USD is dropping below 1.07 for the first time in a long time. The currency market is clearly waiting for another rate hike in the US, which, according to the announcements of Fed representatives, may take place next week” – commented Monika Kurtek, chief economist of Bank Pocztowy. .

She added that “the strengthening of the dollar is never good news for the zloty”, hence the weakening of our currency. She emphasized that the key for the zloty will be Friday’s flash CPI reading for April.
