“It’s not easy to wash hair in space,” he said at the beginning of the video, as quoted from Engadget, Sunday (5/6/2022).
Wang Yaping revealed that shampooing in space requires a special shampoo. The shampoo used is in the form of foam or foam to make it easier to apply to the hair.
“First, I applied a special shampoo to my hair, and you could see it was foaming,” said Wang.
He then added just a little water from a special container to the hair and then rubbed it all over the hair. After that he took the towel.
“After rubbing the water on my head, I need to wear towel gloves to absorb the water in my hair. Only after that I use a hair towel and wait for it to dry,” he explained.
The shampoo demonstration in space is actually not the first time this has been done. Previously, in 2013, NASA astronaut Karen Nyberg had also made a similar video.
