Miami Beach imposes a curfew on the beaches and the entertainment area around them. The American municipality is doing this to prevent the corona virus from spreading further.
In recent times there have been more and more parties from tourists, students and other entertainment crowd that have gotten out of hand, says mayor Gelber. Mouth masks were barely visible there and there was hardly any distance.
Curfew will probably last at least three weeks. During that time, no one is allowed to take to the streets without a valid reason between 8 pm and 6 am. Furthermore, shops, restaurants and clubs are closed.
