“Cured”, several young people have pulmonary embolism

Coronavirus

Doctors are concerned that some patients, especially those in the 20-30 age group, do not really recover from the virus.

Covid-19 is a new disease that is actually more complex than expected. The majority of sufferers manage without problems after having experienced some mild symptoms. And yet, patients considered to be cured are still not finished with the virus …

Doctors are concerned about an increase in cases of pulmonary embolism in young patients aged 20 to 30 years. Some of them contracted Covid-19, but did not suffer from a serious form. This is particularly the case of Cyril, a young man of 20 years from the Paris region.

One month after contracting the coronavirus, he woke up with “blocked lungs.” Fortunately, he was able to be saved, but the young man is still very much diminished today.

Many unknowns

He is not the only one. The testimonies of patients who do not “heal” are legion on social networks. Headaches, skin inflammations, fatigue, chest pains, ailments are as diverse as they are diffuse. And knowledge of the coronavirus does not allow for an accurate diagnosis.

Is it post-traumatic pain? Is the virus still active? Does it cause chronic conditions? So many questions yet unanswered.

“I don’t know if it’s viral or post-viral, but it is certain that Covid-19 has effects on the lungs, the heart and the coagulation system that can kill us”, even says Professor Paul Garner . A specialist in infectious diseases in Liverpool, he himself experienced a real ordeal after contracting the disease.

His recovery made of ups and downs is inexplicably long. “I think many of us don’t know when we’re going to get over it,” he said.
